Jonathan Wright, Managing Member, has experience in the biotechnology, software and legal industries. Prior to founding HC Domain Ventures, Mr. Wright was the SVP - General Counsel and Secretary of Kosan Biosciences (acquired by Bristol-Myers Squibb), a Nasdaq listed biotechnology company. Mr. Wright also served as the General Counsel of Targeted Genetics, a Nasdaq listed biotechnology company. Mr. Wright was a founding board member of Don’t Blink Media (acquired by Dragon Media Online), a search engine marketing and optimization company. Mr. Wright has held senior positions at several privately held technology companies, including Dexterra (acquired by Antenna Software), a mobile enterprise software company; Widevine Technologies, a software company providing multiplatform content protection for digital media; and Corbis Corporation, a leading provider of creative resources for advertising, marketing and media professionals. Before moving to in-house practice, Mr. Wright was an attorney at Heller Ehrman in its corporate finance and life sciences practice groups.
Mr. Wright has advised technology companies, their management and investors on mergers, acquisitions, strategic collaborations, business development, licensing and financing activities. Mr. Wright is a member of the Sand Hill Angels Fund. Mr. Wright was a member of the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) - General Counsel Committee for more than five years.
